K-2: Scholars will be learning new words this week such as "discipulus" and "discipula" which mean male student and female student. We will also continue practicing our verb endings for the present, imperfect, and future tenses of Latin.
3rd-4th: We will be having our Chapter 8 quiz on Monday this week and we will begin Chapter 9 on Thursday. Chapter 9 will introduce more 2nd Declension neuter nouns and more sentence labeling and translation. 5th: We will be continuing our work with Chapter 11 this week. Chapter 11 introduces Latin adjectives. Scholars will receive a review sheet for Chapter 11 on Friday. We will be having our Chapter 11 quiz on Tuesday next week.

K-2: We will be learning new words and new Latin commands such as "surgite" which means rise and "considite" which means sit.
3-4th: We will be continuing Chapter 8. On Thursday scholars will receive their Ch. 8 Study Guide. They will be having their Ch 8 quiz on Monday. I would advise they study their study guide over the next weekend. 5th: Scholars will spend half of their first class on Tuesday this week studying Ch 9 using their study guide. We will then have our Ch. 9 quiz. We will then begin Chapter 11 on Friday. If scholars feel the need, they may independently work on Chapter 10 at home. It is a review chapter that covers everything we already learned. We will not be doing it in class. K-2: We will be learning the Latin names for people, jobs, and family this quarter. One word scholars will be learning next week will be "infans" which means baby. We are also learning new tenses in Latin such as the Imperfect tense which tells us the action of a verb is not complete.
3rd-4th: We will be working on Chapter 8, learning new vocabulary and a new set of endings for 2nd Declension neuter nouns. 5th: We will be working on Chapter 9, learning new vocabulary and reviewing 2nd Declension neuter noun endings. |
