K-3: Students will be learning several new words such as dexter which means right and sinister which means left. We will also be having a vocabulary challenge this week as well to determine which student will represent each class in a whole school vocabulary competition.
4th: Students will be practicing reading Latin passages this week. There will also be a vocabulary challenge to determine which student will represent each class in a whole school vocabulary competition. 5th: Students will be practicing reading Latin and they will continue Ch 17 in their book. We will be having a review on Ch 17 at the end of the week and there will be a quiz on Ch 17 at the beginning of next week. K-3: We will be learning 3 new words in kinder and 6 new words for 1st-3rd grade. The focus of our vocabulary has shifted from nature to places such as island (insula) and city (urbs).
4th: We will begin Ch 14, learning new vocabulary words and a new set of verb endings. 5th: We will be finishing up Ch. 16 this week with a quiz for 5A on Monday and a quiz for 5B on Friday. 5A has already reviewed for the quiz and have their study guide. 5B will receive their study guide on Tuesday. K-3: We will be learning 3 new words this week including aqua which means water and flumen which means river.
4C We will be doing a Latin on the High Seas game which will help students remember their vocabulary words from previous chapters. AZ Merit makes the schedule hard to predict for Latin this week. 5A: They will be taking their Ch 15 quiz on Monday. AZ Merit makes the schedule hard to predict for the 2nd half of the week. 5B: They will be reviewing vocabulary from previous chapters through a Latin on the High Seas game. AZ Merit makes the rest of the schedule hard to predict for Latin. K-3: Students will be learning several new words such as "arbor" which means tree. They will be also learning how to answer a new question in Latin "Ubi habitas?" (Where do you live?).
4C: We will be reviewing Ch 12 and students will receive a study guide to prepare for their Ch 12 Quiz which will be next week. 5th: We will continuing our work with Ch 15 and students will receive a study guide on Wednesday for Ch 15 to prepare for their Ch 15 Quiz which will be next week. |
