5th Grade is going to be learning about the Confederate Generals and the problems that the Confederacy had to face during the early Civil War. They will also be learning about the soldiers that fought in the war and how warfare changed during the Civil War. There will be a quiz on Friday covering this week's topics.

5th Grade will be learning about the Future tense and how to translate Future tense verbs into English. They will also be reviewing their Ch. 19 vocabulary. There will be no quiz this week.
4th Grade will be practicing sentence translation and labelling for simple sentences using subjects, verbs, linking verbs, and predicate nominatives. They will also be reviewing their Chapter 15 vocabulary and grammar. There will be no quiz this week.Students will be learning about Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederacy. They will also be learning about the Union Generals and the problems Abraham Lincoln had with choosing a leader for the Union troops. Students will have homework questions this week in addition to History journal entries done in class. Students will have a History quiz on Friday.
Students will be reviewing the last 4 chapters in the review Chapter 18. We will then begin Chapter 19 learning new vocabulary words and English derivatives. There will not be a quiz this week.
Students will be reviewing their Ch 14 vocabulary and 2nd Conjugation endings (also in Ch 14). They will have a quiz on Ch 14 on Thursday and Friday. We will then begin Ch 15, learning new vocabulary words.
5th Grade will be learning about the life of Abraham Lincoln and Sojourner Truth. We will be discussing how their experiences lead them to become influential and important historical figures. Students will continue to add entries in their History notebook but there will be no homework sheet this week. There will also be no quiz this week but we may have a seminar discussion at the end of the week if there is time.
This week 4th Grade will learning about the stories of Aeneas and his journey to a new home. This story comes from Virgil's Aeneid, a very important work for Rome originally written in Latin. We will also be doing Latin games to practice our Ch 14 vocabulary. There is no quiz this week.
